DESCRIPTION:Hands-on History at "Brilliant Parties"!\n\n \n\n"Brilliant Parties\," the first of four events in this year's After Hours at Liberty series\, will take place on Thursday\, June 2\, at 5:30 p.m. at Liberty Hall. This interactive two-hour program will immerse guests in the activities of an early 19th-century social event. You will learn how to dress for a party in early Kentucky\, discover dining customs of the day\, and play a period card game in the formal parlor of Liberty Hall.  The event will culminate with period dancing led by dance artist Sylvia Coffey and refreshments inspired by the writings and cookbooks of Brown family members.\n\n \n\nThe Brilliant Parties program takes place at Liberty Hall and the $25 ticket ($20 for members)\, includes a cup of Claret Wine Punch for those 21 and older. This interactive program is recommended for ages 18-up and will be limited to a small group. Reservations are required by calling Liberty Hall Historic Site at (502) 227-2560.
