SUMMARY:Membership Luncheon - Leadership Frankfort Graduation
DESCRIPTION:Leadership Frankfort Advisory Board & Frankfort Area Chamber Board of Directors\n\nThursday\, July 18\, 2019 11:30am 1:30pm \n\nThe Foundry\, 317 West Broadway Street\, Frankfort\n\n \n\nSince 1990 community partners\, area businesses and supporters have assisted the Frankfort Area Chamber to develop the next generation of leaders through our Leadership Frankfort program. Leadership Frankfort and its more than 500 alumni share their commitment to the community and working as change agents in the public\, private\, and nonprofit sectors throughout our region. \n\n \n\nThis year we are honored to have two amazing guest speakers for our Graduation Luncheon Mr. Birch Bragg\, Farm Manager Extraordinaire at West Sixth Farm and Ms. Heather French Henry\, Veteran Advocate and Miss America 2000. \n\nBirch Bragg. Through his leadership\, Birch has built a great community and non-profit partners and manages West Sixth Farm. Located on 120 rolling acres in Franklin County\, West Sixth Farm uses a variety of things -- to grow ingredients for our beers\, host events\, create estate ales\, and invite people to experience the farm extension of our urban brewery. Birch is a great addition to our leadership community and we look forward to hearing more about his leadership style. \n\n \n\nHeather French Henry. Heather has been a local\, state and national advocate for military veterans and their families for over 20 years. She has served both Governor Beshear and Governor Bevin as the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs\, serving over 300\,000 veterans in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Her role in the department provided oversight for nearly 900 employees serving in four state veterans nursing centers\, five state veterans cemeteries\, statewide veterans benefits and programs that served both homeless and female veterans. Her responsibilities included developing legislative policy for the department and assisting with the overall strategy for the department's budget of nearly $100 million. Her love of the military came from her admiration for her father\, Ronnie French--a disabled Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. \n\n \n\nPlease plan to join us an hear more about their amazing leadership and passion for service at this year's Leadership Frankfort Graduation. We will be making connections with past Leadership Frankfort participants\, supporters\, and \n\nfellow business leaders\, along with Celebrating 2019 Graduating Class. We can't wait to see what this year's class does next! \n\n \n\nBe sure to bring a friend\, co-worker or your clients along with your business cards for the relationship building and business development. The cost to attend is $15.00 per person and includes lunch. Advance reservations are necessary and may be made by calling Joy at the Frankfort Chamber office\, 502.223.8261 or email office@frankfortky.info.
