DESCRIPTION:The geology of Franklin County influences everything from the course of the Kentucky River and its connecting streams to the plants and animals that live in our area. Geologist Brandon Nuttall will discuss how geologic forces have influenced the development of our landscape for millions of years. He will talk about how the rocks around us tell of earthquakes\, volcanic eruptions\, storms\, tides\, sand dunes and beaches\, landslides (current) and slumps (ancient)\, sinkholes and caves\, and even the Old Capitol building.
