Description
Join Patrick Lewis as he discusses the Kentucky Historical Society’s Civil War Governors of Kentucky Digital Documentary Edition. This annotated, searchable, and freely-accessible online database houses documents associated with the chief executives of the state of Kentucky during the years 1860-1865—three Union governors; Beriah Magoffin, James F. Robinson, and Thomas E. Bramlette, and the two provisional Confederate governors; George W. Johnson and Richard Hawes. Lewis will demonstrate the website (http://www.civilwargovernors.org) and discuss its benefits for history researchers.
This free event is sponsored by the Frankfort Civil War Roundtable, Capital City Museum, and PSPL. For more information, contact Diane Dehoney at 352-2665x108 or diane@pspl.org.
