About Chef Chris Mason
Chef Chris Mason moved to Frankfort in 1994 from Bell County KY. After graduating from Western Hills High School, Chris attended Sullivan University where he received his culinary arts degree. Chef Mason worked at several restaurants in and around the central Kentucky area including Daniel’s, Serafini, The Grey Goose, Portofino, The Depot, and several others. In October 2021, Chef Mason was asked to work with the Honda Formula 1 team at the Austin Grand Prix. Chef Mason and his team provided all the food for Alpha Tauri and Red Bull Racing. In 2020, he became one of the chefs at The Kentucky Governor’s Mansion and recently, Chef Mason was appointed as the Assistant Director at the Kentucky Governor's Mansion. He is a lover of food, bourbon, music, camping, kayaking, woodworking and all the other great things in life. Chef Mason lives in downtown Frankfort with his wife Aubrey and their 2 cats (Lemmy & Mr. Frodo) in a 125-year-old house that requires most of his free time.
