heARTworks is a multifaceted fundraising event that will take place on Thursday, October 19th from 5-7pm. The event will reveal the beautiful mural project completed by our ART (Achieving Recovery Together) Therapy program through the collaboration of participants in Franklin County Drug Court and the Frankfort Police Department. The ART COLLAB project is funded by the U.S. Department of Justice COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) Grant. The goal of the project is to form meaningful relationships between people in recovery and officers in our community, and then to measure the change in perception and understanding between both populations.

During the event, the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting to reveal the murals and our new exterior signage! This Business After Hours event will bring together the many partners and donors in Frankfort who support Yes Arts. One of those partners, Whitaker Bank, will be on site to present a check that will support the continuation of our ART program! Donations will be graciously accepted to support our programs to further our reach and impact in the community.

Following remarks, Dr. Will Renshaw will provide music and the doors will be open for everyone to mingle and explore our galleries. The current exhibit is featuring the photographic and fiber work of Dobree Adams as part of the Louisville Photo Biennial. Terri’s Catering will provide small bites which will be served by Yes Arts youth servers.
