Description
Turn your favorite story from Kentucky history into a clay animation short film! Get inspiration for your story by virtually touring the different eras in our museum. Then, create a script, build diorama sets, design characters out of modeling clay, and film your short using a stop motion app that can be downloaded on different devices. We’ll share our films on the last day of virtual camp. Virtual summer camps will come with a “camp kit” full of crafts and activities based on a weekly theme, along with access to a wide variety of related digital resources and supplementary materials. Camp kits generally include all activity materials that are not readily found around the home. Our museum educators will meet with campers daily from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. via Google Classroom to lead activity instruction and virtually tour the museums. Kits can be picked up at the History Center for FREE or shipped out for an additional fee. Please direct all questions about camp to Julie Sawnor, Camp Coordinator.
