Description
Description: Chop, sift, simmer, and bake your way across the Commonwealth, exploring Kentucky history through its amazing foods. Test recipes to build culinary skills, tune in for daily virtual tours of food-related artifacts, and get creative with kitchen themed crafts. Please note, participants will need to supply their own ingredients and utensils. Camp kit includes ingredient list as well as supplies for kitchen crafts. Parents should be prepared to supervise children in the kitchen. Virtual summer camps will come with a “camp kit” full of crafts and activities based on a weekly theme, along with access to a wide variety of related digital resources and supplementary materials. Camp kits generally include all activity materials that are not readily found around the home. Our museum educators will meet with campers daily from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. via Google Classroom to lead activity instruction and virtually tour the museums. Kits can be picked up at the History Center for FREE or shipped out for an additional fee. Please direct all questions about camp to Julie Sawnor, Camp Coordinator.
